Purple Halfway House

Today marks the halfway point in the rebuilding of our house. We've thus far paid the contractor for 51.22% of the total contracted work. Yeah, and notice it's purple. We wanted the sort of house that if we didn't live in New Orleans, neighbors would complain. Plumbing and electrical are roughed in, and now it is HVAC and insulation and then drywall late next week. One more thing... All of this has been stressful... Very very stressful.

That's a very tasteful shade of purple. I think you could have gone a bit more garish. But it's looking good. As for the stress, I recommend something like yoga or tai chi or softball. Or pumping iron or some sort of serious physical exertion.

Why not K&B memorial Purple?

that is a very tasteful sort of blue-purple.

Bart, if you know of anyone teaching Tai Chi besides the Kung Fu Dojo on St. Claude let me know. I need to take that up again and need to start over from scratch after a long time of no practice.

Aw c'mon Mike, you've seen MY house -- bright, bright orange and loud red in the kitchen, purple and pink in the living room -- and no wall between.... and chrome green in the bedroom ... Need to put sunglasses ON when you come inside ...

I am Michael's contractor...yes...it has been stressful for all involved. I simply want to say that while I may be a part of the stress factor...I am not alone. And our company is trying very hard to get the Homans back home into the house of their dreams. Thank you. Douglas. and yes...I am a Yankee.

For the record Douglas our Yankee contractor has been doing a very good job of getting us back into our house. The spray foam insulation goes in Monday and the drywall soon after.
