Ready to Forgive, but Never to Forget

My 7th guest column appears in the Times-Picayune tomorrow, though you can read it on nola.com now. It's about, you guessed it, Hurricane Katrina and five years. It's hard to write about Katrina reflections and not sound pedantic and smug. Thanks to A. Sisco of the T-P for her help with this.

It's a really beautiful piece. I tweeted and shared on Facebook.

I sure hope y'all are planning to come to RT this year. If you can't come Saturday, please at least drop by for Friday night.

im feeling it. watched brian williams first five days tonight.

teared up a few times. allmost started balling when they showed my neighbor al celestine.

the goofy part was there was very little anger. just remorse and pride in my city.

thanks for putting into words why i feel this way.

dang man the word verification is taint.

maybe your next movie should be what what in my swimps.

ernie kdoe's" taint it the truth" could be the soundtrack.
