Dobson's Confused Theology

James Dobson, the conservative Christian leader of Focus on the Family, accused Barack Obama of "deliberately distorting the traditional understanding of the Bible to fit his own world view, his own confused theology."

I am an expert in Bible and Theology, so I feel compelled to tell the world the following:

James Dobson deliberately distorts the traditional understanding of the Bible to fit his own world view, his own confused theology.

I suppose it could be said that we all do some of that, but I've noticed Dobson does quite a bit of it. I attended a church where the pastor started including Dobson's weekly newsletter in the bulletin. It was not a popular decision here in liberalville. It was decided that the pastor was a "poor fit" for the parish. I read a fair amount of Dobson while the controversy went on. He seemed very concerned to prove that Jesus' ministry was mostly about sex, funding for the military and tax breaks for the rich.

Right on! Smite Brother Dobson with an old Mesoretic Text. As Father Divine used to say "Lubricize his soul with the superlubricity of faith". Dazzle him with quotes from an old Coptic Manuscirpt. Hit him with the Codex Bezae
