Gambit's New Orleanian of the Year
Xavier's president and head of the LRA Norman Francis is the New Orleanian of the year 2007 according to the Gambit. Personally, I can't think of anyone who has done more for the recovery of New Orleans.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who actually thinks my boss is a good person and a good leader, if a little top-down at times. I've heard people criticize the LRA, but never the job he's done with it. A ton of integrity, considering I'm sure he'd be in the running for a lot of jobs that would pay a hell of a lot more than the one he has! Most of my friends at other universities think it's pretty weird that I talk admiringly of an administrator.
Congratulations to XU president Norman Francis!
